Head of Creative Movement and Dance

Riana is a dedicated dance instructor with over nine years of experience working with students from primary to tertiary levels across diverse backgrounds and abilities. She has worked extensively with youth with special needs, including at MINDS and Metta, as well as youth at risk, creating inclusive and empowering spaces for learning. Riana specialises in developing thoughtful lesson plans and instructional strategies that nurture both technical excellence and personal growth.

She is deeply passionate about the positive impact of dance on youth emotional and mental well-being, viewing movement as a powerful tool for self-expression, confidence-building, and resilience. Riana believes that dance allows young people to process emotions, develop self-awareness, and build meaningful connections with others.

In addition, she values the role of storytelling through movement as a healing practice, using creative expression to help individuals explore their experiences and find their voice, fostering safe and supportive environments for growth and connection.
