Xiao Ying

Xiao Ying holds an honours degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Guidance and Counselling. She finds an affinity with individuals with special needs and has more than 20 years’ experience working with children and adults on the autism spectrum.

As a person of few words, she found confidence, social connection and an avenue for emotional expression through contemporary dance. She subsequently discovered Dance/Movement Therapy and has since attended multiple workshops on the subject.

In 2026, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy. In her younger days, Ying had a Utopian vision of bringing peace to the world through the arts. Today, she fulfils that aspiration by sharing the joy of movement and music with diverse populations.
